Real Tacoz
About This Spot
Stepping up to Real Tacoz feels like sliding into a familiar rhythm of Southern California’s easygoing taco culture. Nestled in a modest strip center in Yorba Linda, this spot hums with the quiet energy of locals grabbing a bite between errands or unwinding after a busy morning. It’s far from flashy, and that’s part of its charm — a practical, unpretentious space where the focus is on food that’s straightforward and genuinely satisfying.
The pace here moves at its own comfortable tempo. Whether you pull up to one of the two convenient drive-thru windows, walk up to the counters, or settle at one of the limited outdoor seats, there’s a sense of unspoken understanding: this is where you come for a quick, hearty meal that hits all the right notes without fuss.
As you wait, the warm aroma of grilled asada and fresh tortillas subtly fills the air, hinting at the simple pleasures ahead. It’s in the way the tacos are crafted — small enough to invite savoring each bite, with just enough char and spice to keep you going back. This is complemented by other comforting Mexican staples; a quesadilla that melts into cheesy, crispy goodness, or a burrito that folds a little homey indulgence inside, perfect when you need something a bit bigger to settle in with.
Behind the counter, there’s a friendly familiarity — faces that know many by name, lending a warmth that blends naturally with the food. It’s a neighborhood haven sewn together by quick smiles and steady, dependable flavors, where every visit feels a little like coming home.
Real Tacoz invites you not just to eat, but to experience those small, authentic moments that make local dining quietly memorable — whether that’s sharing a trio of street tacos in the parking lot with friends or grabbing a quick lunch to fuel the rest of your day. In a casual, unassuming way, it’s a nook where the everyday magic of good food and friendly service quietly comes alive.

This is a GREAT hole in the wall place. They offer two drive up windows and one walk up. Every time I am in the area, I stop by. My favorite are the asada street tacos. Today I brought some home to my family and boy they went quick. We have tried other things there and they were good, but the street tacos is WHY we go there. Everyone is so friendly too.

Although there's outdoor seating provided. We love the Carne asada tacos so much we'd rather drive-through and eat them in the parking lot. Yes, they're that good! We're never, ever, disappointed in their food. And their prices are very reasonable.

Big ol' carnitas burrito, Delish! Big ol' Root beer cuz I don't drink and one free refill, Awesome! (Only one free refill....Baah!! I didn't want the diabetus anyway, Pfft!) Oh and you have to wait until the girl at the counter walks away to tip because the jar is smack dab in the middle of the window. Ugh, I might have to explain . . . I don't like tipping in front of the workers. It's like when someone picks up a piece of garbage and waits until he's seen and then expects an applause...? Anyway I met the mother of my daughter ordering Chinese food lol she used to come home smelling like Chinese food.... They have a hard job, little money, and have to deal with a-hole customers..... Tip! Your waiter and waitress!

For today’s Yorba Linda lunch spot review I’m checking out Real Tacoz. If you’re heading to Bryant Ranch, it’s the first shopping center on the right after coming from Yorba Linda Boulevard. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I have to say the tacos were delicious, I’ll be back again to try the burritos and other menu items soon. Only critique I have of the place is there isn’t much seating so if you’re taking it to go, no problem but if you are planning on staying a while or if you have kids that like to run into the parking lot like mine it might be a little hard to have a peaceful meal.
